Hi guys hows it going?

Ok this question is for a friend of mine who isnt signed up to any message boards so i said i would ask for him.Its about the presonus Inspire .He and i have both read that it can record four tracks simultaneous but when he uses it , His computer only records two inputs at a time.He uses cubase that came with the interface. Is it right that it can only record 2 tracks at a time or is there something he can do to make it 4 tracks.
Thanks you for looking.

You have to go into the VST connections tab and turn the other two inputs on. By default Cubase only assigns two in's and two out's.

Wow man thank you very much for the really quick reply.Very much thankful

I have to ask what version of Cubase is he running? I have SX but he prolly got LE and it that case I have heard from a few people on this board that LE only can do 2 tracks at a time, :( But the upgrade to SE3 is about $120 US and then he will not have a problem for sure.

Well this is what Presonus says.

Features
- 24-bit/96k A/D/A sample rate
- Four simultaneous input channels
- Two microphone/instrument preamplifiers
- Switchable line input or phono input(with RIAA filter)
- Software Control Panel and zero latency mixer
- Window XP and Macintosh OSX compatible
- FireWire bus-powered or powered externally
- ProPak Software Suite

So Go to the VST Connections and turn it on and see what happens.
