Presonus FireStudio Firewire

I have firewire port in my computer. I was wondering whether I have to install a driver for firewire port first or I can directly connect the Presonus Firestudio mobile device into it. And how can I use it in Cubase? Anyone any suggestion?

Step #1: Read the manual.

The manual and the drivers are here.

Note that most motherboard firewire ports are not good for audio interfaces.
They are cheaper chips that are ok with hard drives and cameras.
You only want to use TexasInstruments firewire chips for audio interfaces.
(you can find out what you have in the IEE-1394 tab of your Device Manager control panel)

If it works, fine, but if you have problems you need to get a Belkin or SIIG firewire card with TI chips. They are not expensive.
