Aloha,

I've been trying to use a Fire Pod with a Windows 7 64 bit PC. Downloaded the software from Presonus, but it stops at the "unplug and reconnect your device...etc." I guess at this point the software should see the box, but it doesn't seem too. Adobe Audition says I don't have a sound device etc.

Anyone else have this problem, and have you solved it????

Silly question, but did you unplug and replug the unit?
I'd power cycle it too.

Is the psu plugged in?

Try a different firewire port on the pc if you've no luck, and also try the other FW port on the firepod.
Rule out the firewire cable if you're still having bother. Are you using converters/adapters or just 6pin to 6pin?

Do your firewire ports work with other gear?
If you don't have any other gear to test it with, go into control panel/networking or device manager and see if ieee1934 or firewire shows up.

Tried every port, on off, etc. I know how critical the sequence of steps can be. I can see the port in device manager.

Are you able to try it with a different computer?

Your pod may be broken, or incompatible with the firewire chipset in your pc.
