Preamp test

Hi,

I just want to share this preamp test with you, hope it helps somebody.
Well, for this test I miced my kit with 2 OH (MXL603) and PRO25 on BD, sorry but I didn´t use a traditional setup, just hihats toms and snare. I´m too lazy to place the other cymbals.
There are two different takes:
One using the preamps of my Behringer UB1002 mixer and the other using my brand new Audio Buddy. Could you tell which take belongs to what??. Take A preamp A, take B preamp B

The second one had much more presence but it was also turned up louder. I'm guessing the second one is the Audio buddy.

Are you sure your kick mic is in phase? There is no low end on the kick. The toms have more low end then the kick does.

Right, the second one was the Audio Buddy. I didn´t mention that I used a 7A pair of sticks for that take, that´s why it sounds different too. I think the Audio Buddy was a little bit louder than the mixer pres. About the kick I turned it down (-6.0 db) before I export to audio, maybe that´s why there´s no low end.
