Pre-Amp Problem

Ok...so I got an ART tube MP pre-amp for Christmas. I try plugging it up to my computer various different ways. It's going from 1/4 inch down to 1/8 inch. Whichever way I try to connect it...sound only comes out of the left channel. I use N-Track to record...and I guess I could record just in mono...for some reason that seems to suck though to me. Is the only way to get a stereo output from the ART is by using the XLR output?

I'm so confused.

Art tube mp is only a mono channel, but I also feel that you might have a misconception about stereo in general. Check Harvey's microphone thread!

Is the patch cord you're using a stereo 1/8" connector on one end the "Y's" out into two 1/4" mono connectors?
