This thread is nine years old, I seriously doubt you'll get a response. Save your money, and buy a used Martin 000. You'll never look back.

How do people come across 9 year old threads? Also how do people not see the posted this in 2003..

Perhaps he searched for Takamine or summat....

I often start reading these things and then eventually notice that none of the avatars are what I'm used to seeing.... and then... whoops - check that date..

Yeah, it's the old avatars and usernames that always tip me off. Not fair for a n00b. Still the first rule of searching forums is check the date on the returns.

Whoa Gundry!

What is your ' GUITAR SET UP?'

Like when you jamm and play live. Not what is in the whole warehouse! That's how i'm reading it anyway. What do you use to play YOUR music? And what's up with people posting equipment that no longer works? Sheeeesh! Over the years i could add quite a few more things; a few wahs, pick-ups etc. Shit that no longer works doesn't count.

Ohhhhhh.......Well that's a horse of a different color!

Tele or LP, tuner and Barber pedals, Carr Rambler. Cord.
Plus take your pick with everything else listed. It ALL works. I use EVERY bit of it. I still got it.
I'm building a studio and am a collector.

And your right.......I forgot the pick-ups! :D

I would love to have so much stuff, but i got a wife and childeren. I would have five times as much stuff. I do have a bunch of recording equipment though, so i'm thankful for that. I used to have a nice drum set but i sold it. Dumb move there. And i have friends that i borrow cool stuff from. But i am happy with my sound right now so that will have to be good enough for now.

my current set up is minimalistic at the moment compared to setups past;
2001 Squier cyclone with gfs saddles, extra crunchy 16 k brudge bucker, 10 k lil killer hotrail + EB power slinkys tuned to E-flat
Krank rev jr standard chrome 20 watts
Tech 21 boost rvb in the effects loop

Seeing as I'm just playing with myself all the time at the moment this setup does fine... (haha)
