Its for videos basically but it has to be small and anywhere from 20 to 50 dollars. Since its on video and its to record our voices it can't be seen bulging in our pocket.
I'm new all this So any help would be Great : )

Nothing Fancy the sound just has to be good since its just for recording the talking and were students on a budget.

I don't know anything at all this cheap.

The cheapest would be something like the Tascam DR-05 or, a little more, the Olympus LS-12.

I would not go cheaper than these unless you are using a $50 camera to shoot the video.

Your budget is about a tenth what you need to spend to get any degree of quality. Look at it this way--the cheap mic you plug into your computer for a Skype call is about $20 all by itself.

May I ask why you're looking for a separate recorder when you're shooting video? There are various kits you can buy to allow you to plug decent mics into portable video cameras and DSLRs.

I bought a dictaphone once from a store I guess is something like Radio Shack for recording interviews. It was a fair bit more than 20-50 dollars and I would not even consider using it for a videoshoot. And you're keeping in your pocket during recording? I assume since you don't want the recorder to bulge from your pockets you don't want any microphones visible either, so how are you going to record your voices?

I think you want something like a lav mic. Newcasters often have them, or preachers - that sort of thing. You can clip it on your clothes inconspicuously somewhere - could probably hide it with a little effort. You'd run the wire to a recording device (or into PC). They make wireless, but they're more expensive.
