Porta mix

I have a portastudio 02 the only controls it has on it for mixdown are pan and volume. Is there anyway I can add some effects during mixdown. I mix from the porta to a dual cassette deck. The connectors are an rca cable... Can I put those through atleast a stereo or mono equalizer? and then send that to the dual cassette deck?

If it has effects or Aux sends/returns you can use those. Yes you can run an EQ inline to the mastering deck.
