hi all, newie here..you guys have a lot of helpful tips....i have just got hold of a tascam porta 07 ministudio(sans manual), & was wondering if anyone had any useful info on some of its capabilities or your own experiences with one(good & bad)...i was also wondering that if i load the 4 tracks onto some audio software such as pro tools(or something!) can i store those tracks there & then playback & record another 4 tracks to add to the original 4, hmmm hope u guys understand what i'm trying to say!1! any info would be useful, cheers people,

I haven't used a Porta 7 but...
You can store the tracks on a computer and add more to the song. Keep in mind though that it can be a real pain to get all the tracks to line up properly. You can only get two tracks to the computer at once using the line out (or does the Porta 7 have individual track outs) so getting the other two to line up takes some time sliding waveforms around.
