:( hey guys! I'm currently using an imac os 10.6.7 2.8 intel core i5{quad core} with 4gig of 1333 ddr3 ram.my daw is garageband 11 and for plugins or vst's i am uising ni komplete 7 elements and bfd2. Iam having problems with messages saying memory is running low while working on projects using only 1 track drums{bfd2} 1track bass with effects from guitar rig 4 and guitar also with effect presets from guitar rig 4. I have clocked my cpu running at about 40 -45% while this project is running. I personally don't know if this is to high of a percentage to be running at. I also am using some au effects such as compression and eq. Is this a problem that more ram can solve or am i just doomed and stuck with a brand new and first mac with a processor that can't handle what i wan't to do. Because i was looking to upgrade to logic pro and record vocals as well. Can anybody please help me with any input at all? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Samplers like BFD and Kontact are always going to be very memory intensive. Generally speaking: Effects/instruments eat processor, samplers eat memory, tracks eat hard drive
