i was wondering, where could i get a Desser for these programs since it isnt one of the included effects. Ive been hearing something about Waves plugins but i didnt know i could use those with Sonic Foundry products, i thought they were for protools. If thats the case, is there a webpage with the Waves plugins being reviewed?

Hit squad is a good place to look around for plug ins (and other cool stuff). You can also take a look at:

http://www.thedirectxfiles.com/

Go to plug ins, then you have a choice of viewing by manufacturer or by type.

Any Direct X plug in "should" work in SF or Acid or Vegas. Also, you will find some VST wrappers (one or two are free and a couple cost a bit). With that, you can download and use VST plug ins. Go to the Steinberg home page as a starting place for VST plug ins.

Take Care

cool...

thnx spin and rj, ill see how it goes...sonic foundry should really add a desser to their plugins

There should (?) be a de-esser, somewhere in one your FX packages (Sonic Foundry).

When I go to my studio I'll check it out.

peace...

Actually there IS a de-esser plug-in in Sound Forge 5. I believe they call it "Multi-band Dynamics", basicly a frequency selectable compressor. I have not used it, but I was going through the Scott Garrigus book Sound Forge Power, and he had some suggestions on how to use it for de-essing.

hmmm

datll work! thnx guys. i really should buy that book, ive heard good things about it

Scott Garrigus is a MASTER of Sonic Foundry AND Cakewalk products.

Get his books.
