haha...i knew u guys would say something bout the drums..
the reason why the snare drum sounds liek that is because theres no snare thingy haha...its broken, as well as the broken skin on the bottom.
the mics we used we all terrible...except for the shure sm57 on the snare...but a EV cobalt 7 on the bass drum, 2 "pro 2" karoake mics as overheads (all into behringer mx2004)
haha yea thats the limited equip i was talking bout...the drum set is a percusion plus...and the cymbals, if u wanna call them that, are jus a bunch of various broken, cracked, pieces missing and hanging off cymbals....and as for the drummer, he's only been playing for 2-3 months...so i give him props for that...
as for the guitar, sm57 mic'd up...boss metal zone pedal into
marshall mg 80 combo...using a squier strat with seymour duncan hot rails...n that was eq'ed like crazy...but the new guitar rig is a mesa triple rect...but for some reason, i can't get as much presence as the old guitar recording...maybe it was jus the eq-ing i did...
and yes the vocals are terrible...they sound a lot better with
the Oktava MC-012-01's we got...like i said, that was done with a COMPUTER mic haha (labtec)....i had to record it from far away, or it would be popping like crazy.
but anyway, thanks for all of the feedback, i appreciate it all...
but now how yo i get rid of the clipping?? or do u jus have to be more careful while recording??
