I'm looking for a set of monitors for producing Hip Hop & R&B music but I'm so confuse on what to get because I read reviews where someone may say a set of monitors are good and run into another review with some else saying they're not good (like the KRK RP-5 Rokit for an example)..... I don't want to waist my money on anything that won't be benefiting me....

I know professionally speaking it may also depend on your hearing experience but I know you shouldn't need experience just to hear minor flaws in your recording sessions because I know the monitors I choose will reveal more flaws in my music better than my regular house speakers that came from a Thrift Store (thats what I mix on).

Plz Help... I would really appreciate it....

hold the phone... what did you cop at the thrift store???? not every thing is trash... and some hi-fi is really Hi-Fi... if you feel me... often i susggest guys sheck out the local craigslist for deals cause some of these audiofools change there shit all the time and good stuff goes to waste... granted sometimes ya gotta know what you're looking at but ya know???? and some of the low end pro stuff is only pro cause it says so on the front...

I have really come to like the Event ALP5. They were about $329 for the pair and rival monitors that are three times the price... I am new here (so hi, I'm Pete) - I am a former GC manager (don't ever work there, they eat your soul) and have had a lot of time to sit in the recording rooms testing monitors and I thought these were fantastic for the money. They are a touch heavy in high-mids (imo) but very accurate and the imaging is excellent. I mostly do rock, but I would definitely recommend these for any style of music. Once you learn em you should love em.
