So I'm listening to my buddie's band rehearse. And boy, do they suck, but I love listening to them in order to get my weekly dose of comedy. I'm well out of harm's way, as I only have to listen to it from the other room.

Anyway, they have this new guitar player, and I want someone to help me come up with a nickname for him. So here's the deal: The band is a classic rock cover band. We're talkin' mostly Rolling Stones covers. Very poorly done to begin with.

So anyway, this new guitar player guy plugs in and just starts wailing away with this total cheeseball 80's glam / hair band tone. We're talkin chug-chug-chug-chug, WAIL-na-na-nAL ! ! Real overdriven, distortion-y, fizzy, no mids, etc. etc.

I'm listening right now, and it's like I'm hearing George Lynch and Don Dokken play Jumpin' Jack Flash. Chug-chug-chug-chug "Jumpin' Jack Flash" Chug-chug-chug ... "It's a Gas." Now he sounds like a real bad Yngwie Malmsteen who can't play the solo, so he just starts in to Eddie VanHalen hammer-ons. Whooo, boy. This is embarrassing to listen to.

Oh Jesus. Now they're playing "Sweet Home Alabama." Chug-chug CHUG! chug, chug-chug CHUG! "Sweet Home, Alabama." Wow, this stuff is priceless.


Guys, help me come up with a nickname for him.

Or "You guys pretty much suck, but at least CC is a hoot."
