Please help me with my DMP3 and AT4040. (very detailed)

From what I've read and heard, the room is probably the issue, and to be specific, you've probably got a problem with bass frequencies bouncing around, muddying up the sound. That's what bass traps are for, and foam won't help if you have an issue with lower frequencies.

DMP3 & AT4040 over here...., I would love to have that vox quality.

Can you give more details about the vocal recording?

- is the at4040 pointing to mouth directly, at 6 inches ? or pointing a little bit to one side ?
- did you used a pop filter ?
- low cut was used in dmp3 ?
- low cut was used in at4040 ?
- how high is your gain on dmp3 ? 2 o'clock ?, 3 o'clock ?
