Please give a listen to #2, what do you think?

I haven't stopped by the mix clinic in ages... glad I did. This is really nice. The version with the B3 is just killer. Like "first dance at my wedding" good.

The simplicity of the drums is really engaging to me. There's enough space for those snare hits to really shine.

Lastly, if this your band you now have a bass player in LA anytime you need one :)
 
Man, it's a pretty song. My only qualm is that high hat. It's much louder than it needs to be. Starts falling out of context, like when you say a word out loud a bunch of times and it loses it's meaning. Put another way, it ends up feeling like I can hear the click track, because the high hat is so close to front and center. Pull it back some. Try varying it up some. Try and get it closer to the space that the other drums are in.
Once again, though, I think it's a really pretty, well put together song.

Thanks for the listen, yeah the canned drums suck. I really need to get a real drummer. I appreciate the listen and input.
 
Dude! This is sweet! Love it!!! Would add just a touch of verb on the guitar. Just my opinion and I'm not an expert. Job well done!!

Awesome! Best recording I've heard on this forum in a long time. Congrats on a great sound.
 
The song is great, but it sounds like you flipped the phase in one of your channels.
 
Hey, and if you ever need some backing vox, even though your voice is reeeall nice and smooth, well, just asking.
