Ok, heres the skinny.... Im running Nuendo 2.1 on a pentium 1.7 w/ 512 ram. I have a New creative Live! 5.1 sound card w/ recent drivers. When i play a session in nuendo the sound severely skips, studders, distorts and cuts out. Ive heard it may be something with Asio... I downloaded and installed the latest asio4all... Still no luck... ive tinkered with the buffer sizes and misc. settings and nothing even reduces the problem. I have run Nuendo on this same system before flawlessly. I have only recently added the new sound card and am wondering if that is part of the problem... even though this card is better then the motherboards integrated card i was using previously when Nuendo worked... I know thats a lot to take in, but if anyone out there in homerecording land has any suggestions, fixes or anything i can try... please just give me a reply. Thanks tons peeps.

You bought $1300+ software to use with a Soundblaster LIVE! card? I can't imagine buying it an using it with onboard sound at that. You need to invest in a decent sound card - Soundblaster LIVE aint it.

I use Cubase SX 3, and have an Echo Gina 24 sound interface. Haven't had any trouble with that config. What about your dongle used with Nuendo - is it functioning properly? They can sometimes cause troubles.

The soundblaster live is for gaming and multimedia. You're missing the most important thing needed for computer recording. Not that the Live isn't a good soundcard. It's excellent for gaming (play games like unreal tournmanet in surround sound... IT'S AWESOME!!!!), but not suitable for recording.
