Hey I have recently purchased a new laptop for recording because the older one was getting too slow and far too many hang-ups and skips when multitracking and adding efx etc.
I now have a quad core 1.73GHz (8 x 1.73GHz) i7 processor with 6gb ram which I believe should be more than enough to run Audition smoothly, however I am still getting skips and breaks when recording more than 4 tracks onto the multitrack recorder??
I am using asio4all and am not running any additional programs in the back ground but still seem to be getting these problems.
They seem to be getting worse the more tracks I add, I understand that this would be a problem if my processor and ram where too little but I think I should have enough now... Is there any way to set audition (buffers etc) to correct this issue or should I move over to Sonar or something that seems a more stable?? I have been using Audition since 1.5 so would not like to change but if Audition cant grow with my studio then I will have to leave it behind. help anybody?? cheers
