And if anyone is up for putting a bass track on it, that would be awesome.

Hi Mad....cool song jam!!

I hear another lead in there myself...going all riff crazy and stuff! Love the spooky feel it has....I can pic a video with this tune. All things creepy and dark!! Perhaps a Dog vocal would be in order here. :D

Your drumming is right on Mad! This makes the third song in a row, the drumming was prominent and excellent!!

I love the tone your bud has on his axe!!

The starts and stops are cool too.

I asked my son to come over tomarrow nite and put some bass to it....so he said yes. We'll see what he comes up with.

Great Jam Mad!!!

Intresting

I love the sound of those drums.
The guitar sound kinda thin and distant, but I supose thats because its so lonley :D .
This would really shine with some bass, hope you get hooked up with some brilliant groovy bass.

Very good indeed to be a improv, it sounds much better than things I plan for months :D

Here`s to you and your pal on a cool recording.

Thanks for sharing, I hope you make more of this kind of music. :)

Thanks for the comments, True. I'm looking forward to hearing what your son comes up with!

And, yeah I think Darrel plans to put a lead on it. He's an outstanding lead guitarist and it was interesting that he ended up playing just rhythm for the whole jam. Methinks he has something big planned for this track!

I also shot video of this. If it all comes together well, I'll send you a DVD!

Thanks, Naka! You're right, the guitar could be a little louder here. But if I can get a killer bass track, I'd remix it anyway.

Cool drum sound man...very cool. Nice guitars. This has a great vibe. Very good start to a cool song man....Keep it going. Build on it. I might try some bass to it, as I haven't picked mine up for a while.

I like it man....

He is here now! The main thing against us, is I am the one recording it!! :D :D :D

Oooooo...I like surprizes!! Is he a headcutter Norman?

Hey, a DVD would be too cool Mad!

holy mcshit Mad

ace sound man, can't wait to hear the finished thing

that's just up my musical street

if I wasn't so damn busy I'd offer to play midi triangle :D

well done dude

Nice

Nice work man.

Digging the groove and the thickness of the toms. The drums sound excellent. Tight performance behind the kit.

I'm a big Holdsworth fan and can hear the influence. Makes me want to hear that Holdworth-ish legato guitar lead riffing over the top.

I'd think about less distortion for the rhythm guitar sound if you want to stay with a traditional Holdsworth feel....maybe more clean volume swells, then save the thick, nasty tone for the rippin' legato solo.

Stay with this one, it's cool.

This is the first I've listened to you play Mad. You do have an awesome recording sound coming out of those drums. Very nice listen.

Dog - thanks. I've got my new Audio Technica ATM25 on the floor tom. I think I love that mic.

True - Yeah, I'd call Darrel a headcutter even though his EVH influence is sometimes a little too obvious.

Slidey - Thanks, glad you like it. Hmmmm, MIDI triangle..........

Bartman - I like the clean rhythm suggestion except that there'd still be bleed of the original guitar in the drum mics. I think we'd have to redo it for that approach and frankly I doubt it would have the same spontenaity. I'm glad to hear that my relentless efforts to improve my drum recording techniques are working, though!

guitarmonkus - Thank you!

Sweet man, love jams like this. Drums sound deep, tight, and well recorded.
The drums really make this is a guitar/drum jam, otherwise it'd just be a guitar jam (there's my useless comment of the post :p )
Overall, the drums sound so good I think the guitar sounds like it could be a little better... but I get the feel that's just from a lack of bass guitar to fill her up
Anyway, good job guys... a cool listen :D :D
