I have a Phonic Helix mixer, which I think is basically the Sonic + firewire. It's budget gear, but I have no prob's with it, in fact I like it a lot, just because it has so much bang for the buck.. Lotsa routing options, all the features I wanted + more. The pre's are supposedly not top notch, and I dont expect em to be for the price, but I not really experienced enough to tell the diff. They sound fine to me, I dont think they're any worse than Behringer or any other budget pre's.
Their support is very responsive, when I first got it, I thought the fw was broken on it. They answered my email within a few hours and helped me troubleshoot.. The mixer was fine, it was my PC that was having problems with all fw devices.. The mixer worked perfectly on my laptop, which proves it wasn't their problem, but they still went out of their way to help me get my PC working correctly, which was above and beyond imo.
