I hope this makes some sense...
A Wav. file should show equal amounts on the up and down side... correct? If your wav. file looks more like a mountain range than a mirror image of itself... does this show Phasing problems?
Even if the track sounds ok, I'm assuming it would be better if the image was more equal looking. & I'm also wondering how equal does it have to be. If the wav. is say about 3/4 the same on the shallow side... is that more or less acceptable?
I'm doing a 3 and 4 mic drum kit and the OH are fine but it's the Kick (Room/Kick) that is the Wav. that is way uneven... but when it's mixed in, it appears to sound ok... I'm just thinking it could be fuller. Also, when I hit the phase on the Preamp it does the same but puts the shallow side on top.
Any thoughts, ideas?
Thanks,
B.
