how important is it how i get phantom power to my mic (sp-b1)? right now i am just taking it from a 4 channel behringer mixer. should i have a preamp and phantom power dedicated to this mic?

Behringer mixers are notorious for providing a little less than 48v, but most mics couldn't care less. You'd do better to use a dedicated preamp, but not because of phantom power issues. Because the pres in a Behringer mixer simply suck.-Richie
