i really like that beat. just a personal preference thing - i'd add a few piano triplets when the sample drops out just to break up the piano doubles that run throughout.. understand? but, yeah, that's just me. i like it.
This wa shott man, nice drop really feelin this one, piano was ill, drums wer nice and so wer the synths, nice drop, the only thing i would sya is keep the synth or violin (w/e string it was) throughout more of the beat.
for an honest critique to make you better these are things you need to do: chop the samples better than that cuz there is a slight delay between them and they don't cut off at the end and they blend into the verse take your time and chop them up right, also the kicks and snares are not loud enough try using some compression cuz with the bass and kick hitting at the same time it should be rumbling my speakers and it's not the piano deff. overpowers every other element in this beat and it needs work. deff. like the beat tho it has some serious potential just pointing out things that stuck out to me that seem like you might have rushed this a bit
thats some serious critiquing you sound like my sound recording professor, i like it though cuz you pointed out alot of things i just ignored during the mix the only thing that sucks is that now the comp. the reason track is in doesn't wanna work so i can't fix it til tomorrow so it should be banging by tomorrow, thanks Desert i always appreciate your feed
D.Ease hit it on the nose, although i'd like to add a couple things too.
On the hi-hat, tighten it up, it's too wet. Not to mention, it's got some reverb to it, that's very ear-aching. Make it a combo, of different hits here and there, not the same every 2..
The kick, needs to hit harder, like D.ease said.
lower the piano, it's too loud, bring out that bassline more, fix the vocals.
Snare needs something.. maybe tighten in a clap with it, to make it stand out more.
