A beat I made some time ago.

The mp3 encoding destroyed most of the clarity and crispness of the higher frequencies but most people don't even notice things like that unless they were the ones who made the beat.

pretty nice uptempo beat.... some of it gets a bit annoying...

where is the bass line?

I still like it though, the melody's real hot, but I think the real high pitches hit the ear kinda rough... I would risk it just to listen though:D I think it needs an ill bassline though.

I know it needs a basline, but like I said its pretty old.

I made it during this "no-bassline" phaze I was going through, and since its old I never though of changing it in any way(mostly cuz I aint gone use it for nothing since I'm not into that style of beat anymore)

Hey, I think it's good enough to use, even if you don't use it yourself, somebody else might want it. I got plenty of beats like that, I just don't feel em to rhyme to, but others seem to love em.
 
Yeah thats true as hell.

I've been in the middle of working on a beat before and just stopped thinking, "This shit is whack, I'm waistin my timetryin ta fix it". So I would save it hoping to be able to make it thump when I come back to it. Then I would be lettin catz hear my shit and accidentally go to a whack one and try to hurry up and skip it, and they be like, "Hold on, go back, that shit bangs!"

I never understood this because I think I have Pretty good judgement when it comes to whack beatz and bangaz, especially if I produced them, I'm my own best critic.
 
LOL! That exact same shit be happening to me :D :D Then they want to keep playin it over and over. :D Just when you think you know somebody's tastes, they surprise you.


I'm real critical of my stuff too, but it never ceases to amaze me when some people don't like a beat I think is off the hook, but they'll like some shit I was just about to throw away. Oh well, I keep all my beats now. :D
 
Tight track. The drums are real tuff. You just need the bass like everyone else said. You should go on and drop a bassline to it and lace it with some flows. Peace.
 
It sounds almost identical to the intro of Cam'ron's new album. Everything, strings, even the rapper's delivery. the drum pattern is different. Unless this is a diss to Cam'ron, you may catch heavy criticism from those who have heard the album. Just being honest, Bud

That shit is mad old(done like two years ago), but thats no excuse for the way the vocals were done, that was just laziness(too lazy to attempt to watch out for how i was beathing).

Also it was done with an mp3.com beat(which i strictly forbid now), and was recorded by letting the beat play on the computer speakers while rapping(both the beat and the verse were recorded by the mic at the same time).......real phuckin cheezy!!!

For those who don't know, I'm not talkin about the track above, but an older one I let catz hear a little while ago!!!
