For the life of me, I'm certainly no mic snob.

My only condenser mic is a Korean mic (HAN), and it sounds great!--crisp and clean--much better for singers than a SM57 or 58. I paid about $30 (50 marks) for that mic in Wiesbaden, Germany, back in 1991.

I went out today looking for some new mics, and I went to many, many stores. Every mic I saw was EXTREMELY overpriced. But I did find Peavy and Nady condenser mics at reasonable prices.

Does anyone here have any experience w/either of these brands?:

In particular a Nady CM90.

I have twp Nady CM88's. I think the sound pretty good for the price. 50$ each. Nady is known for making " lower end stuff" so I guess it depends on what you'll be recording with them. I use them for acoustic guitar, and mic'n drums. my experience has been mixed with Nady equipment. I ordered a wireless guitar system from them a while back, and it didn't work right out of the box! That sucked..

They are bad off-the-shelf mics from Chinese factories.

Music stores carry them because people don't really know what they're buying. There are many other mics that are much better; MXL, Studio Projects, ADK, Audio-Technica.
