Hey, i'm looking into getting one of these units, but i'm new to the whole rackmount pre-amp. Currently I am using a Peavey Musician 400 series which feeds right into a Marshall cabinet (MG series). I need to know how the Rock Master works differently (if at all) from a head like my Musician 400, and how I would set it up with my Marshall, and what I would need.

Here's my current Head: http://guitargeek.com/gear/img/peavey_musician_400.gif

Here's the Rock Master:

Thanks,

The Rockmaster is just a preamp so you have to run it into a poweramp and then into the speaker. I owned a Rockmaster and they are highly overrated. The Behringer V-Amp Pro smokes it IMO.

I have a Rockmaster and the tone is very good especially considering the $50 price tag.

As stated you need a power amp or run it into the FX return of a guitar amp.

Alright so it would be

Rock Master > Power amp > Speaker > Effect > Guitar ?

Is there any reccomendations concerning power amps?

Thanks
