peavey HiSys2 speakers

Hi, I have a problem with one of my speakers.. nothing out of the main speaker and very little(Volume)out of Horn. I have checked wiring to the board inside and from board to the speaker /horn both seem to be ok..
any ideas pls,ta

Pull one wire off the speaker, ohms scale?

Try disconnecting the drivers from the crossover and connecting them directly to an amplifier to see if they make sound that way. Keep the level low for the tweeter because it's not designed to handle lower frequencies. If they make sound then you probably have a wiring or crossover problem in the speaker. Be careful to note where each wire goes when you disconnect them so you can reconnect them correctly.

Had the same problem with cheap*ss Behringer speakers . That when I called them on it was told there are disposable get an other pair for there sealed and can't be worked on . I said "Ya right" never again will I purchase from them!!!!

But back to you. The problem I think is blown speakers but not the tweeters. Luckily you can work on Peavey and if they have Black widows in them it's just a matter of changing the basket and not the whole speaker --- Very easy and a lot cheaper.
