I recently ordered this pc p4 2.8ghhz 800fsb 1mb cache, mobo asus p5vcd-x, 450 watt tower. Im still waiting for it to arrive I paid $163 and was looking for some cheap ram to throw in it wich is around $50 for 512mb 4200 533mhz.

Problem is I Just found a early bird special for this pc, And I can still retrun the other one.
* Intel® Celeron® D processor 352 with 533MHz frontside bus, 512KB L2 cache and 3.2GHz processor speed
* 512MB PC3200 DDR memory for multitasking power, expandable to 2GB
* DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive
With monitor and printer for $190.

wich Is a better deal?
The p4 should outpeform the cel with its bus and cache, but by how much?
How would these compare? for gaming and recording?
it comes with 512 ram,lcd monitor,harddrive and printer to sweeten the deal.

In my experience, you'll be sorry if you go with the Celeron unless you're going to overclock it.

Stick with the P4.

.

Yes, I would go with the P-4 over the Celeron....

My recording PC has a celeron D in it (2.6ghz) and it works well and I can Mix 12 tracks with Plugins at the same time but I"f I try for more than 12 tracks with more than say 12 Plugins the PC starts to lag a bit, Luckilly I record Straight rock/Punk/Metal so there isn"t a Huge Track or Plugin Count....

Cheers
