PC won't recognize Fostex MR8HD

Hi all,

Windows XP won't recognize my Fostex MR8HD. I don't have the installation Cd anymore (second hand one), but I downloaded the Fostex wav manager on the site. I also read all the manuals, so I am pretty sure I follow the right procedure.

Is there some driver issue or something like that, or something I have to download?

Two suggestions:-
The Mr8 should look, to the computer, as a remote drive. Check your Device Manager and, if needed, upload new USB drivers from the web.
Check that the MR8 has the latest software update.

Are you talking about software version of the MR8 itself. Is it possible to upload it to the Fostex machine itself? I get the idea the new downloaded wav manager is just not compatible with my 'old' MR8
 
Once you get the PC to recognise the MR8, you can upgrade the operating software.
The Fostexinternational web site has downloadable zip files with both the upgrade and instructions (.pdf) Just follow the instructions to upgrade the software.
There are versions of WavManager that may match the operating system. The Info is on the web site.

I allready figured that out though, the problem is the thing won't be recognised so I can't update. anyone possibly have a link to the original version of wave manager?
 
If you need original software versions of .WAVmanager I have them.. Just PM me
