james you use s.b. live 5.1 right ?

Yup... next to Delta 66.

i was wondering do you like that particular card or is that just what you have

I love it alot because I'm MIDI minded musician. And SB cards is MIDI friendly. I just love it's super compatibility (must work on most apps/ game :D ) & not to mention the Soundfonts  . Once I got Delta 66 to do the audio stuff. I use it the most on recording, editing & mixing audio. And tell you it's a loooong loooong way better to do AUDIO than the SB card. Now, my Delta is disfunction (in some electrical accident with my old HD & optional USB card :( ) and I'm about to buy one from Terratec to replace it ( either EWS88MT or EWX2496 ).
IMO, SB cards is great for companiment to your pro card, if you play around with MIDI.

i need to buy a new card and most of these guys here complain about s.b. stuff would you recomend one to anyone else?

I believe you'll want pro card in the first place. If you decide latter to expand your system, then SB card will be good as an option. Cheap, but cool. Here's good link to infos about Soundcard for Home Recording...

Click this good link...

And if you curious about what SB Live! can do... check my NWR site to hear my songs. They're ALL done with SB Live! . I didn't use the Delta at all to do them.. Record, edit, mix, master all with SB Live...

And please, if you don't mind to go to MP3 mixing clinic forum and feel free to comment my work....

sb live carsd

i have about a half-dozen of the SB Live Cards- no use for them. Anyone interested in them?...cheap

The new soundblaster audigy card has got a fairly decent review from the computer recording press.;) But I would only suggest it for midi nuts and gamers. Like Mr Jameyz:D Otherwise, the Delta cards are a good bet.
