Never Act Like U Know All
I spent 2 months browsing, searching, climbing the highest mountains, and diving to the ocean floor in lieu of finding every single patch that is out there floating in cyberspace for the JV-1080, JV-2080, XP-60, 80, and XP-30.

I've found patches from Dallas to L.A., to Munich to BomBay. These patches have been used in commercials in China, clubs in Germany, all the way to a play house in Topeka, Kansas. Here at Crystal Blue Productions, We record and produce ALL kinds of music. From house to country, to R&B to pop, there is not really to many limits in our way.

Myself and my engineer(my wife), on our own time have worked on this project of collecting all these Patches, and emailing people around the world to find our where they got them from, and what they've been used in.

Using the industry standard for cataloging and sorting patches, we have created one Master Library of all of these patches using Emagic's Soundiver.

These patches are FREE to you, because how can we charge for something we never invested in ourselves? Besides, it was alot of fun searching and hunting the web, meeting alot of new people, and hearing these patches used for commercial production.

*** NOTE: About 100 or so of these patches require the Dance and Techno expansion board. But that doesnt matter, there is still over 1700 on this library for you to use with out expansions

To be able to use this file, you MUST have a copy of Soundiver. This file is in .LIB form, which is proprietary to Emagic only.

You can download it from:

https://www.idrive.com

Just follow these directions, and you'll have absolutely NO problem.

1. Click on the URL. When it opens, you will see in the top left where it is asking for a "username" and "password"

2. Type VERBATIM (lowercase):

Username: jv1080patches
Password: freepatches

3. Click the "log in" button

4. When the "jv1080patches' home" page pops up, click the link "Master Library.LIB" under where it says "Drop Box 1 Item"

5. When the "jv1080patches' storage" page pops up, click the empty box next to "Master Library.LIB" under the "name" hyperlink, then hit the "Download" hyperlink

6. At the right of the page it will say:

Click the "download" link below each file name to save that file to disk. Click the "open" link to open the file.
•Master Library.LIB

download open

Click the "download" button to start the download.

7. Your on your merry way now. Just follow the rest of the prompts.

******************** NOTE ********************88

when the "SAVE AS" pop up menu comes up, make sure the "Save As Type" is set at "All FIles", not "NetZip File". This means that by saving it as a "All Files" type, you DO NOT have to have a decompression program to open that file.

YALL HAVE FUN WITH THE PATCHES !!!!

anppilot,

I started to check out the sound library that you sent. So far there are some pretty good patches there. A few that have really impressed me and most very useable. Thanks (to you and your wife) for all of that work that you put in to mine these sounds.

Thanks Rev. We put up this thread for everyone to use and enjoy.

Thankyou sir.

Do you by any chance know where I can get some comprehensive instructions for the jv1010 And the jv oem version of sounddiver.

So far I have been enjoying this sound module, but I have not been able to even add a reverb to any sound cos the manual does not tell you how, and I don't have a manual for the oem sounddiver.

Cyan Jaguar,

Didn't you get the JV1010 instructions in the packet that I sent you when you bought the 1010? I forgot to put it in the first box, but I sent another package via priority mail a few days later, which included the manual for the JV1010. The CD that contains the OEM version of Sound Diver contains some instructions on how to use. I haven't needed more instructions yet to use the program.

hi Rev.E,

I got the manual, but it does not make any mention of how to apply fx, it refers you to the refernce on the cd, which tells you the fx, and how to route them, but not how to apply them.

If I wanted to apply a chorus to a sound, how do I do it in midi, and can you also give me an example in sounddiver?

I'll try to steal away some time in Sound Diver, amidst recording, to check this out. Offhand, I was under the impression that Sound Diver allowed you control over the effects section of the instrument in addition to all of the normal instrument parameters.

Rev E

It does at least for the JV-1080. I dont know about the 1010 though.

Later,
Mike

The JV1010 allows it to. Only by sending system Exclusive messages, which is exactly what sounddiver does. I toyed around the software a bit. Figured out how the software kindof works, didn't really get the hang of it, forgot it all, and now I just use the original patches... :)

There really is no documentation on how the program works. And it's not a fun program to work it out yourself.

Hello, I tried the link but I cannot log in using the credentials supplied. I'd like to get the library for my JV-2080. Can someone tell me how to do ? Anppilot, please can you share it again ?
Thank you.

The thread is 9 or 10 years old. These guys aren't around anymore.

Yes I saw it. I was wondering if someone has still the bank somewhere, in order to share it again. The JV 2080 is a fantastic machine, and its sounds are still amazing.
Thx.

i got a few banks free on the internet for my 1080 but only a portion of them will upload onto the synth, even using midiquest....I bought a load on ebay too...Ill see if I can find them again

Thx very much. It's not so simple to find banks for JV 2080. I own a SY77 too....found a lot of sounds for this amazing keyboard. Thx again.

Hi arcaxis, thank you very much. Regarding the SY77 I think I downloaded and bought all you can get for this synth around the world. I'm spending time now, organizing my patches, selecting the most beautiful and useful ones.

ModNote: We do not promote theft or piracy at this site. I edited this post to remove your offer to do so. Thanks for your compliance.

Sorry, I didn't want to promote any theft or piracy. All the banks I want to share are absolutely free: I downloaded them from the net or created them by myself.
Regards.

Cool. You said you "downloaded and bought all you can get..." which led me to believe....
