I got this really nice custom rack and table top thrown in with the MS16/M520...
I bought in LA.
I mounted the rear overhead shelf to the base unit, and put the table top on hinges. They came as separate pieces to facilitate transport! That's custom and solid, and I sorely need racks!!! Badabing!!!
It came with another handmade wooden table too, (not pictured), that's large enough to set an M520 on, and about 75 used 1" reels of tape. Not to mention a HUGE bale of wires that was the "patch bay"!!!
The front room is a work-in-progress that's coming together.
I rearranged it to this arrangement two weeks ago.
I'll have easy access to my gear, tape & media storage, it's symmetrical and comfortable as a listening environment, and the kids have somewhere to jam. It leaves a lot of floor space for setup of more serious sessions, future/TBD.
That wooden table on the left was included with the woodwork on the right. (388 under towel and plastic cover).
This is the thruway that's part of the family room.
I watch a little TV here, sometimes.
That's a Sony receiver & dual cassette w/Technics CD player & who-knows-what Salvation Army $9 set of speakers! In fact, I got all that gear at the Salvy Army for cheap, 'cept the Walmart deal Sanyo TV and nice Sanyo VHS/DVD combo player!
I used to rule on getting great audio gear deals,... back when I had money! I got a ton of great gear at the Salvy Army for cheap, and I'm not kidding!!! (GILLIGAN'S ISLAND DVDs NOT INCLUDED!)
All you hopeless and hopeful gearslutz alike can live vicariously thru me,...
if that's what it takes!!!..........
Now, e'body close your eyes, click your heels three times and say,
"there's no place like home,... there's no place like home,... there's no place like home!!!"
