Is it possible to take tracks from my project studio which might not be protools and import it into a professional pro tools system, or am i bound to get problems

It's possible, but we need more info. What exactly do you have?

researching to buy a system looking at tascamFW1884 with sonar

You can import .wav files into PT, or any other software.

You'll just have to set up your tracks/eq/plugs/mixer settings/etc again.

if you are transfering .wav files you have to make sure each .wav file is exactly the same length when you export it...that way when you import them into pro tools everything will stay in time.
Your plugins, edits, automation, etc. will not transfer this way though.

BUT, if Sonar has it and if the studio you are taking it to does as well...you can export OMFI files which can embed all the audio, automation and edits into one file for you. Then you just import that into Pro Tools. It works quite nice.
