I have (2) digital mixers and (3) adats set-up now is...

I have 1st adat (optical in/out) to first mixer
I have 2nd adat (optical in/out) to second mixer
I have 3rd adat 4 rca cables into 2nd mixer (rca to 1/4)

((I did this to see 16 tracks individually on first 2 adats))

Now I'm thinking If I ((DAISY CHAIN)) the optical
digital OUT mixer into
ADAT 1 IN to
ADAT1 OUT to
ADAT 2 IN to
ADAT 2 OUT to
ADAT 3 IN to
ADAT 3 OUT to
2nd MIXER digital IN

will I ((HEAR)) all 24 tracks, but just see 16,
8 on mixer 1, 8 on mixer 2 and also because I use the buss routing for recording, I should be able to record

1--8 on the first adat,
9--16 on the second, and
17---24 on the third.

((pan left for odd, pan right for even channel recording))

THAT DOES MAKE SENSE ---- (biting my nails) RIGHT!

NO

No! damn, so I should stay with the first set-up hungh!
It's not bad, I was just "BRAINSTORMING" a new way to get vocals done.

so to adat 1 I can record 8 channels from mixer 1
then take the mic and put it into the second mixer and follow the same scenerio.

So I'll have only 16 tracks, guess I just have to patch the optical to the 3rd adat to record vocals.

Ehhh! Oh! well thanks Track Rat...
