Did you mix this on Nuendo/Cubase? It has that quality to it (not in a bad way). I dig the the Alice in Chains type vocals. Strictly from a production standpoint:
The guitars definitely sound dope. I like em.
the drums (which is definitely my area of expertise) and the vocals can use a good tweaking still. At least I think. I'll explain.
The drums are very clickly and it's definitely in a clipping kind of way. Not musical analog clipping (which can sound nice), but rather trademark digital clipping (which definitely kills on the ears). It's very distracting to me.
I could suggest to soften them up a bit by lowpassing the unneeded high-end. I'm listening on my good system and it just shows beyond a reason of a doubt. I mean nothing major, the changes can be very subtle.
A good combination of that *judicious* lowpass filter with a bit of compression can soften this issue up pretty nicely. I also personally like a snare with more punch, but that's just me.
The vocals can come out a bit more, but not in a simple turn it up kind of way. I thinking strictly with EQ and a good short stereo verb (very short room with a 1-3sec decayish type deal). Give it a space of it's own. 3D-afy it some more if you know what I mean.
I think with that'll it sit nicely and then you can sell the shit of out it.
