Opinions on Song/Mix

Hi guys, I was hoping to get some feedback on a song that I've been working on for my band's demo/gig-getter CD. Feedback on the song, performances, recording/mix quality are all welcomed and brutal honesty is appreciated!

Very cool 80's feel to the song....from the drums/vocal combination. Performance is great....

There might be too much bottom end on the vocals - making them a bit hard to understand during the verses.

The clean rhythm guitar or keyboard? (the one in the center) could come up - it's a bit far away in the mix.

Other than that this is a very nice mix....

I like the mix, the only thing is that I would pull up the instroments or pull back the drums at the beginning. and any other time the singer is not singing.
 
I'd trim some low out of the vocals. Might try around 250hz and put a hi pass on them if you haven't. Who knows a hi pass may do it if you mess with the freq. , but to me it's boomy. Needs a few tweeks in other places as far as volumes are concerned. I'll leave that to others.

Nice 80s vibe. Has a verby feel with a lot going on, but everything is still distinguishable. Has sort of an older u2 feel too, especially with the guitar tone. I like the bass sound and tone, on my system sounds like the bass volume could come up a tad in sections to even out the volume. Cool song, stays interesting throughout ;)
