I recorded some commercials in saw plus and am trying to open in AA. I thought there were mp3 but it says pcm file not supported. It is about 7 files just over 1 meg each. Is there any way to get AA to open it so I can edit it?

I recorded them while in broadcasting school and am no longer there and don't have access to the porgram I recorded them in. I can play them on my computer.

Well, it sounds like you need to find a way to convert those files to wav or mp3 or some popular format that AA can read.

This is just a wild guess but, I would try this. Download the demo version of SAW Studio HERE and if you are lucky, you can load those files (probably one at a time) and re-save them into something other than their default format. Most programs give you the opportunity to change the format just prior to the save.

I don't know if that SAW demo has limitations on saving files but hey, give it a try. What have you got to lose? (Just back up those files before you begin, in case you screw them up.)

Good luck,

file type not supported

Raw Depth,

I downloaded the demo version of saw. It also says file type not recognized, something about the header not being recognized. I notice it is a cad extention. What is that? It was recorded in saw?

Does this SAW look the same as what you used back at school?

A cad extension is usually used for drawing files. CAD stands for Computer Aided Design. Are you sure you didn't get these files mixed up with other files from school? Are you certain they are your audio files? If so, then I am not sure. Do all of your file names end with CAD?
