Excuse me.
FET compressor is good for tracking ? and OPTICALS for mixing and mastering ?
or is this meaning the other way around?
I am thanking you.

Whether it is FET or optical does not really have anything to do necessarily with which purpose it is best used for. Thigs like the actual design and implementation of a compressor, parts used, quality of build, desired effect etc... have much more to do with where they will best be used. This is before opinion comes into play which just mixes it all up that much the more.

1176 or LA-2A? Coke or Pepsi? Ginger or MaryAnne?
FET compressors are faster, more precise, more linear than optical compressors. That choice can go either way at either end of the process. My choice is usually to save compression for mixing, and leave the dynamics intact while tracking, but sometimes I'll track vocals with a little compression, and for that I'll usually prefer an optical compressor.

Some compressors are wearing a lab coat, some a t-shirt & jeans, others still a tuxedo. It depends on what the dress code is to decide which one to use.

Mary Anne... definitely Mary Anne

Oh yeah...Coke too
