Blinking phone call strobe. Had one in a studio I worked in many moons ago; I am glad to know The Shack still makes them. Runnnnn to the Shack. or nearest computer terminal. Thanks for reminding me.

Back in the days when I used to ride my dinosaur to work at the radio station...
When I started, our on-air and production consoles had rotary pots (potentiometers) to contol levels, and each channel had an on/off switch right above the pot that would connect/disconnect the channel from the output bus.
When we migrated to linear faders, we still had the on/off switch right above the fader.
The on/off switches had one or more extra sets of contacts that could be connected to relays and used to control various pieces of equipment. Often these relays were used to start/stop turntables, start tape machines, and to start the old cartridge tape machines we used for commercials back in the day.
And typically, all of the mic channels were connected to a relay that turned on/off an "On Air" sign above the door to the control room/studio.
For the phone stuff, all of that was handled by Ma Bell, who would provide us with lights to indicate a ringing phone and turn off the ringers. At one station, Ma Bell provided a relay, and the station engineer hooked up an old "gum machine" light from a cop car to indicate that the "request line" was ringing. Now that was cool!
