omni studio breakout box pres equivalent to dmp3?

Hi,

I remember reading somewhere that the pres on the m-audio omni studio breakout box are just dmp2 pres. I also remember reading somewhere that the difference between the dmp2 and dmp3 is just some added meters and shit but the pres are the exact same.
Is this true?
If not, then does anyone know how the pres are on the omni studio? Would it be an upgrade from my old original mackie 1202 into a delta44??

I know its been a few months since you posted this. Ok I have a mackie vlz, an omni studio(delta 66 card), a dmp3, and a delta 1010.

I use the omni studio when I'm at school(in my apartment) and I use the other stuff at my home studio. The vlz into the delta 1010 gives me about the same results(quality) as the omnistudio. The omni gives me a little more headroom, but I think its due to less conversion since the preamps are built in. The dmp3 into the delta 1010 gives me a little better sound. The dmp3 preamps are little more open than the other two, but not by much.
