Here's a tune my daughter and I are working on. It's going down as our fastest collab ever.



-Drums are "jwoo10," my hero.
-All guitars and bass are my variax acoustic. I may retrack, but probably not, lol.
-Actually, there's an electric in there that's hard to hear at this point (HevyD). I'll work on that.

Anything?

Greg_L - You seem like a really good guy who puts in a lot of time around here, and I appreciate it...especially since I've heard your mixes.

Nice sounds...as always, great voice. For this type of song, the mix sounds good. The music isn't overbearing, and lets the vocals come through easily.

How many vocal tracks do you use? Sounds really good. I suppose it helps when someone can sing.... :D

Thanks man. The way we record, it's kinda' hard to answer that simple question. First, we record 3 vocal tracks. Then I compile a "keeper" track out of those 3. I compile a "doubled" track out of what's left, and the 3rd track gets trashed. Most of the song uses just one vocal track, with some doubling from the 2nd track in places. My vocals are all single tracks with LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of reverb...and other things.

Jaimee's voice just blows me away and I pretty much loather country music.

I thought about saying, "Get her on Idol..." but she's ready to go now.

I was being legitimate, I think it's a cool site! Maybe a bit rough and ready, but still cool and easy to navigate.
 
Nice mix you said you did the bass with an acoustic? huh? The mix sounds perfect though great little country tune. I know a good arranged song and that is probably why that one came out so good :).
 
Vocals sound really good and well balanced between main and BG. Nice tight rhythm in the band. Drumset sounds great. Gtrs are well played but they sound artificial to me and not quite distinct enough in the mix.
 
I wanted to say it sucks just because I thought myhatbroke had something to do with it, but I like it.

Not bad for country.



Gotta go find my 10 gallon hat now. :D
