Does This Make Any God Damm Sense At All?


I Loaded My 4 Songs (mp3 Versions Of Each) Into Vegas Audio4

I Put Each One Into The Same Track, One After Another, With Like 4 Seconds Between Each One

I Then Began Applying "normalizing" To Then Entire Track, Hoping Everything Would Then Be "leveled" Evenly

Then I Rendered The Whole Thing.

Yes It Was Like A 20 Minute "song" After That

Then I Opened The Whole Thing Again In Cool Edit And Chopped Each "section/song" Bacl Into Its Own 3 And Half Minute Song

Now Have I Done A Lot Of Dumb Ass Shit For Absolutely N Othing?

I Dont Mind Bein Criticized Cuz I Dont Knwo What The Hell Im Doin -- But Kiss My Ass Before You Start Just Bashin The Fuck Out Of Me For The Sake Of Shittin On Someone

Vegas wouldn't be my choice for mastering. It's best used as a multitracker. Do you have any other progs, like Sound Forge or Wavelab? Those are more suited to mastering.

And yes, you have done a lot of dumbass shit for absoutely nothin. Why the hell did you open it in Cool Edit after Vegas? Why not just work on each individual song in Cool Edit and render them separately? Dumbass.

Why are you mastering mp3 versions of your songs? You should be mastering the uncompressed wav files, if anything at all.
 
Well the rendering and chopping bit is the long way around the block, but I don't see any particular harm to your audio from that.

However, why did you start with .mp3s? That I'm not following.

Also, normalizing is not the way to get even average levels, that gives you peaks at 0dB but you could still have one song at a very different volume. To get even average (called RMS) level, you need to practice judicious use of EQ, compression, and limiting.
