how do i run my soundcard to my mixer and my mic from my mixer???

What router? What soundcard?

Does the manual not contain instructions on how to set it up for you?

In either case: Line outs of your mixer into the inputs on your soundcard. Then plug your mic into a channel on the mixer.

i got a E-mu 0404 and Peave Pv-8 mixer...naw no manual...

and will i be able to hear myself while im recording with the mixer outs to the soundcard ins???

mic into a channel on mixer, then tape outs on mixer to ins on soundcard, then outs on soundcard to tape ins on mixer.

And btw, a little search will find you the manuals. PV8 and 0404

so when u say ins to the soundcard this one says....S/Pdif?? thats right???

if not it only has outs.....

If that's what you have(wasn't sure if it was that or the pci version), you don't need the mixer. If you want/need to use all 4 preamps of the mixer, then i'd connect the main outs of the mixer to the line-ins of that interface, and just monitor from the outputs of that interface.

If you want to use both the outputs of the interface and mixer outputs(maybe for more headphones outputs), then you could go from the "1 main" output to the tape in of the mixer, and press the "tape to ctrl/hp" button on the mixer.

The SPDIF are digital inputs. These wont work. I mean the line(Mic/Hi-Z/Line) inputs.
