Alright, fuck it, I quit. Back to making beats...
Phys...send me that beat and I'll write a verse, spit it, and throw it back at you.
Fair warning: If you do this, the verse won't be really about anything (content wise) but should be enough to let you see where I'm coming from.
I would say keep practicing. When I first started rapping, I could write verses like a muthafucka, but I couldn't flow with it. I would listen to some mainstream rappers and try to emulate their wordplay in their songs. Here's my top 5 rappers for you to listen to in order to get it (some of ya'll might not agree with my choices but here we go).
1.2Pac/ B.I.G. (yes it's two but you gotta group them together)
2. D12 (except Bizarre) All of them have different styles and different ways of wordplay
3. Fat Joe (he doesn't rhyme that fast but his voice has character).
4. Xzibit (same applies)
5. Method Man/Redman (also had to group them together)
Now you have a SHITLOAD of different styles to learn from. Don't steal their styles....learn from them, there is a difference.

Well I already listen to Pac like fuckin crazy...never really paid attention to his flow though, his lyrics are too..."captivating".
i know im probably largely outspoken, but i dont really like tupac... one of the reasons being his flow - theres something missing in it - that along with his beats, they lack something which draws me in.. whereas as with someone like Big L, most of his tunes jus make me nod my head and listen, cos of his sick flow and live beats
