Looks like a good idea. I keep thinking something that would automatically move the trap out of the way when the door is opened would be cool. But I'm no engineer. Wouldn't even know where to start.

I have 9-2'X4'X4" panels of Roxul 80. I plan to build them from a combination of this, and a back-side frame of 1"X2" pine (arcadeko gave me this idea), to ease fabric attachment as well as wall mounting.
I have had great results hanging my original panels from ceiling, with just simple 'eye' hooks, mounted into the corner bead frame. I estimate only 10-15lbs per panel from my original build, based on the above link (minus the use of batting that made them look cheezy and wasted money).
I am hoping that this type of lightweight build, will allow for hanging from the curtain track, thus allowing easily moving the 8'X2'X4" panel away from the doorway in the right side of my front wall, when need to do some laundry.
This will be a documentary of the build as well as results........

One that moves the panel when you say "schhhh"? lol.
I'm going to start with manual movement for now and see if it works. I can't see why it wouldn't so far. I only worry about the weight limit of the track. There are heavier weight versions of the products (at additional cost), but I figured I would start with the cheapest, and see how it performs. $10 per lineal foot difference, for the heavy weight version of the track.

seems like it could be a great system for keeping the traps up out of the way and easily moved. You are going to have to get the hangers centered so the panels hang at 90 degrees.

So there's a corner and a door...when you slide the trap out of the way, where does it slide and hang?
You have to reserve space for the trap to slide to and occupy.
I also have a corner w/door...and there would be no place to slide the trap. To one side is the wall, to the other is a piano.
The other option would be to hang the trap on the door...but it depends which way the door opens and if the trap will get in the way. The gobo w/wheels might be the easiest solution....

Probably true in your room. In my situation, there is room behind my desk for a panel to slide to. Especially with the curved track. The panel's position while straddling the corner, takes up much space. Sliding it to the back wall only occupies 4" from the wall. In my setup, I have 22" depth behind my monitors, 13' wide. The door to what is my drum/laundry room (opens out-right side behind right monitors), is the problem that I have with treatment. Yeah, I could just use a gobo. But having it slide easily to the back wall, would be way more convenient. And I am talking about a 7' 11" panel here. A gobo with a stable base of support, seems that it would occupy a whole lot more space than the absorber itself in my case.
This obviously isn't an answer to every situation, but I am hopeful that it will be a great solution for mine. Hopefully others can use this as well. If in fact it works. I have no doubt that it will.
