When I wrote my first post on this subject, it wasn't to intimidate people of USA. I just wanted to see if the musicians (and artist!!)on this forum agree with the attack of Iraq. You Know, here, in Quebec, we have the impression that everybody in USA agree with the president.

And I have a part of the answer !!!

Thank a lot

Sorry for those people who fell attacked by my post! (and sorry for my bad english;)

Jhones,

You didn't intimidate, you offended. Please don't use the people in this forum as guinea pigs to satisfy your own curiosity as to what our ideologies might be. (musicians, artists and technicians) Frankly , I don’t give a flying f--- as to what your impressions up there in Quebec. I also think you are lying about your post reason and are now just trying to weasel out of it. Either that or you are incredibly naïve.
You think you have part of the answer??? Dude, you are clueless!
FX82 started this post with the intentions of blessing our young men and women who are putting their lives on the line for our freedom. You butted in….. now butt out!
If you need a little Vaseline for that MR-8, just say the word. My humblest apologies if you’re a minor and just don’t know any better, but if you are an adult, make it a VF160.

Subject: Fw: Dennis Miller Speaks Out

By Dennis Miller

All the rhetoric on whether or not we should go to war against Iraq has got my insane little brain spinning like a roulette wheel. I enjoy reading opinions from both sides, but I have detected a hint of confusion from some of you.

As I was reading the paper recently, I was reminded of the best advice someone ever gave me. He told me about the KISS method ("Keep it Simple, Stupid"). So, with this as a theme, I'd like to apply this theory for those who don't quite get it. My hope is that we can simplify things a bit and recognize a few important facts.

Here are 9 things to consider when voicing an opinion on this important

issue:

1) President Bush and Saddam Hussein.....Hussein is the bad guy.

2) If you have faith in the United Nations to do the right thing, keep this in mind. They have Libya heading the Committee on Human Rights and Iraq heading the Global Disarmament Committee. Do your own math here.

3) If you use Google Search and type in "French Military Victories," your reply will be "Did you mean French Military Defeats?"

4) If your only anti-war slogan is "No war for oil," sue your school district for allowing you to slip through the cracks and robbing you of the education you deserve.

5) Saddam and Bin Laden will not seek United Nations approval before they try to kill us.

6) Despite what some seem to believe, Martin Sheen is NOT the President. He plays one on T.V.

7) Even if you are anti-war, you are still an "Infidel" and Bin Laden wants you dead, too.

8) If you believe in a "vast right-wing conspiracy," but not in the danger that Hussein poses, quit hanging out with the Dell computer dude.

9) Whether you are for military action, or against it, our young men and women overseas are fighting for us to defend our right to speak out. We all need to support them without reservation.

GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS.

I think S. Hussein needs some of his own Kuwaiti invasion treatment,,ala' such as his treatment to inccubated Kuwati babies. Guess. Sadam,,,the leader of rapistist. Iraq,,, where sheep are scared.

the cops here

Well the cops here in my neighborhood just teargassed the block where my 3 year old daughter lives in order to protect her from protestors who were blocking a city street. Do I care more if my daughter is gassed or if a street is blocked? Is this the freedom that I'm supposed to be so happy about? If you ask me, those in Canada have it much better off. Health care, etc. And who ever said that I need to love my country anyway? It's all just a joke. Bush and Cheney are just gonna get rich for the third time rebuilding Iraq with their construction contracts. Wake up people and look at all the sides. Don't you know that all ANY of them care about is MONEY and how to get more of it? Do you really think Bush gives a Fuck about you or me?
If you were on the street asking him for a dime would he give it to you?

mbirame,

I hear our Canadian friend Jhones is subletting a rock up there.
You can find him earlier in this thread. PM him for more info but be careful not to incorporate your extensive vocabulary..as...his..english...is...not...to...good.., but you probably will get along with him pretty well.

Then why do they drive down to the USA to get the better health care? I think you are wearing rose tinted glasses.

I respect people's rights to protest--as long as they do it within the law. If they don't, I have no sympathy for them when they get teargassed or maced when they start breaking the laws and violating other people's rights.

It's a shame that people have somehow switched things that if you are against this war, you are against the troops. I humbly wish that all the troops would be able to come home safe. Doesn't it make you wonder though-why is it that we are going around saying "support our troops" when 25% of homeless people in the US are vets. 100,000 out of the 700,000 troops that were in Desert Storm are now sick. These are not just bullshit leftwing numbers. LOOK IT UP!!! Support our troops??? I'd like to see our government do that. I come from New Mexico where our government has been testing Depleted Uranium in the hills behind Soccoro for many years and the lukemia rates in that town are huge compare to the rest of the state. LOOK IT UP!!!!But I guess I'll just get flamed again by some idiot not hearing what I'm saying and say about how I'm some kind of rock dwelling tree frog or some shit. It is our responsibility in a democracy (the best form of government I will happily admit-thru experience by the way) to be as informed as possible on the situation. It's been said before that there are always three sides to every story-your side, my side, and the truth. So if you don't believe me, FUCKING LOOK IT UP and refute it here. Is Saddam a friend? HELL NO!! Is Bush a friend? HELL NO!! PS I did look up at the UN website to see who the head of the Human Rights Commission is, and couldn't find it. Could you please give me the website where you got that flat9? Also please show me where you got that Saddam is the head of the Global Disarmament Committee. Not to say that I don't believe you, but show us your facts. Even by AOL's conservative estimates still only two-thirds of this country supports this war. That is over 33,000,000 people against this IN THIS COUNTRY ALONE!!! Every day we are at this war we are just creating more Bil Ladens. Mbirame.
PS Clifchamb- if you are one of the people lucky enough in this country to have health care-congrats to you. I'm not and most lower income families in this country aren't either. I would agree that the best doctors and hospitals are probably here in the states, and therefore rich Canadians that can afford it and need special care may come down here. I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about the majority of people here-the poor. They are covered in Canada and not here.

mbirame,

Please go vent in the forums designed for this kind of debate. (ie. The Dragon Cave. ) You'll have more of a chance over there as you will find more of your cohorts and adversaries. This thread is merely a vehicle designed to:
BLESS OUR TROOPS

b9,
Al Jazeera doesn't need any more help spreading Iraqi propoganda. We're now just a week into this war, and already the atrocities have escalated. The barbaric regime has started taking the children of those who may defect and threatening to kill them, turning their guns on unarmed citizens, dressing in American uniforms and executing surrendering soldiers. The problem is, this is nothing new to the people of Iraq. The anti-war sentiment of some people in this case just escapes me. God bless our troops! Nothing anyone can say will convince me that this war is not just. To say nothing of the WMD that will be found in due time.

bd

Y'know, I read all the typical socialist drivel about Canadian health care being so much better than American health care and I think these people are absolutely clueless. When I was in graduate school I became friends with student who had been born and raised in Canada and he informed me that health care there is rationed. There is no personal choice for doctors--the government assigns them. The doctors in Canada are government employees, so there is no real concern for their patients, it's just a job. They do not perform transplant surgeries in Canada, so conditions which are routinely treated with transplants here go untreated under their system. Treatments like dialysis are given only to people whose kidneys have a high probability of resuming normal functioning.

And that health care comes at a cost: the minimum tax rate is 25% on the first $20,000 of income. No deductions and no per person exemptions.

Personally, I'm tired of a bunch of liberals who want to punish people for having the initiative and intelligence to improve their economic lot through hard work, and thrift to reward a bunch of lazy no-count bums. I worked in social services for over 20 years and it was exhausting to have to deal day in and day out with a bunch of morally bankrupt idiots who thought the sole purpose of government was to bail them out from the consequences of their own stupidity and wickedness.
