RAMI

Guest
....this one is the most recent. :laughings:

OK, Never Mind.

Couldn't figure out how to delete files, but I wanted to delete the first version. I added a bit of reverb to the vocals for the second clip after reading TripleM's post.

Typical pristine clean recording and balanced mix. Some of those guitar licks remind me of Billy Gibbons for some reason. Really good tune. Love the vocal harmonies

That's some crazy opening riff you got there. I like it. I like the backing vocals a lot. Sounds a little Alice in Chains but not too much. Cool song - I don't hear anything I can comment on. Cool tune. I like the end too.

Yeah I liked the harmony vox too. They were real good. Liked the guitar sound too.

About the only constructive thing I can come up with is the dry vocals. I like dry vox myself and you should keep them pretty dry. But man, there's seemingly no ambiance at all to them. It's a personal taste thing, and it'd be find if you didn't do anything. But if it were me, I'd put a medium room or plate on them in very low amounts.

Thanx alot guys.

Triple: I do have a plate reverb on the vocals...maybe I just need more. But when I put more I "HEAR" it. I don't like "hearing" the reverb, if you know what I mean. But if you do notice them dry, there must be something to it. I'll give it a listen again in a few days, and probably end up agreeing with you.

I'm the *exact* same way.

On this I'd just nudge it up a wee bit. Better to under-do it than over-do it.

Sounds great, RAMI. heh... Even before I clicked to listen, I could already hear your voice / song style in my head - and when I clicked, it sounded just like your signature style. Good stuff! I liked the odd time signature. Great performance, great mix. I wouldn't change anything.

As is normal....Rami tunes are great!

However, I'd like to hear ALL the vocals in this tune to stand out a bit more.

Then again, my hearing isn't what it used to be.

RAMI = Quality = RAMI
Terrific song. You still have a bite in your lyrics - is there a mellow RAMI? (I hope not).
the solo could come up JUST a little smidgen for my taste but otherwise I can't offer any comment with regard to revision.
How far off is the next album?

All sounds good on my system RAMI. Balanced, crisp and nice separation

Hehe...thanx man. My style is all I know.

Actually, there are no "odd" time signatures in the song. The verses are in 6/4, which is "even". :D

(just messin' with you, I knew what you meant).

Great. I got nothin.
Thanx dude. You got to have SOMETHING. :)

Thanx 60's. I'll keep that in mind. Most of us tend to mix are own voices slightly lower than we might mix someone else's. I'm often guilty of that until it's pointed out to me, so thanx.

Thanx a lot Ray. Not sure about the next album. I've only got 3 or 4 originals out of the 10 or so I've done that I like, since my last CD.

I'll bring up the solo a bit and see if I still like it.

Thanx, Cooblemeister. :D

Awesome. That's what I'm going for. Thanx Rob.

Best I've heard from you,

Is there a ride cymbal overdubbed or some percussive instrument/click track in there?

Great harmony vocals.

Nice recording.

Thanx a lot P! Best I've done? Cool!

No, there's nothing programmed or playing all through the song. I go to my ride during the solo, but that's about it.

Thanx dude.

man this sounds great..Drums are EXCELLENT!! Howd you record em?

Great song. URE = Usual Rami Excellence. I like the drums on this one much better than previous tunes. Kick sounds tuff!!! I always said I thought you should have your hihats and cymbals a little more prominent and it seems that you have that here. Me likey the balance of the kit.

I thought the lead solo could be a little more upfront, but it works where it's at, too.

Thanks for sharing your songs with us.

The sound is great and the arrangement works. The only thing that draws attention is that guitar off to the left that seems a bit small and lonely in the beginning. Later on, you fill it out during the guitar solo with stuff over to the right and some delay or verb (how do you do that?). But when it's playing all on its onesie over on the left while EVERYTHING ELSE is so big and ballsy, it's sort out of its league. It's a fine tune, but think about it for the future. In the meantime, if it was me, I'd boost that leftie guitar a dB when it's playing against the vocal. It wants to be heard.

Way good.

Lots of interest in the arrangement.

Nice, clear mix, EQ-ing, space, vox.

Drums are killer, playing and sound.

Wish I could do that.
