Odd Circles - New Mix

I posted this same song about a month ago, it was a rough mix i probably shouldn't have posted since everything wasn't done, main comments were that the vox and bass weren't loud enough.

Nonetheless, take a listen at this, and let me know what you guys think should happen.

I like the song a lot. The instruments and the vocals are excellent and the mix is well done. This one goes in my list of the best from HR in 2008.

Kick: Beta 52/sm57
Snare: sm57/AKG 451 top I think
Snare Bottom: e609 I think
Toms: e604
Ride/Hats: AKG 451
Overheads: 414's

Guitar cab: e609

Acoustic: 451/e609 (I never normally wouldn't dare use a 609 on acoustic.. ever.. but I needed a second mic and at the time didn't have any handy and somehow it worked)

Bass: Direct w/Ampeg VST

I don't remember if this had piano recordings on it, but I recorded a grand piano in most of them with 2x 451's and a couple AT4040s around the piano for room feel.
 
Awesome drum sounds, reminds me of Snow Patrol, who I like. Just knock it down to 3 1/2 min and it's ready for Radio!

Haha, well I wouldn't say radio. Though did you know all of backstreet boys songs were like 4 1/2 minutes? nuts...

anyways.

There's a couple songs that are "radio-friendly" but I like this one as is.

Any critiques?

On that aspect, I think it takes a bit to much time for the vocals to kick in. I think it would cut the measures between 32 sec and 48 sec so the vocals starts at 32 sec insted of 48 sec.

muggy vocals ....cant quite hear what ur saying .....but overall a very pleasing sound...

at the moment your just filling time....

.... now you need to be bold and inject some melodys that i might remember !!!! this is more than an mp3 mixing clinic....i cant help it.
