1. OK. I just bought several pieces of Knauf 3 lb, 2" rigid fiberglass panels ($1.49 sqft). The only thing I could get locally was with the foil backing (FSK). Here's the coefficients:

125Hz 250 500 1000 2000 4000 NRC
.67 .77 .93 .74 .47 .28 .75

I plan on building absorption/diffuser panels for walls and corners. Which side the foil faces will determine if it's an absorption or diffuser panel. I'll start with the corners. This being the only product I could find at this thickness, what can I expect in performance? I'm concerned about the foil backing on one side and no, it's not removeable.

2. I was given 12 pieces (2'x4') of OC 703, 1" rigid fiberglass. This is with the foil backing (FRK). Here's the coefficients:

125Hz 250 500 1000 2000 4000 NRC
.18 .75 .58 .72 .62 .35 .65

The specs (due to only 1" thick) don't seem to be so good for bass traps, etc. I'm thinking about making a frame and suspending some in the ceiling of my vocal booth. Untreated, the booth has a really "tubby" sound. What can I expect in performance inside the booth. I'll provide dimensions later (I'm at work) :D

Generally speaking for better low end absoption use the foil side facing the room and for better high end absorption use the foil facing the wall. If you want broadband absorption then you can alternate the orientation of the foil from panel to panel.

Tried several sheets of the Knauf in my vocal booth last night. My booth is kind of trihedral shaped so I stood up (one above the other) 2 pieces in 2 of the "corners." Whoa, what a difference. I still have to experiment more with foil out, foil in, etc.

Placing the 1 inch 703 an inch out from the wall will give you absorbtion coefficients similar to the 2 inch 703. From what I've read, depending on the bass trap design you are using, the 1 inch stuff should work just fine. The 705, with its higher density would be better for bass absorption applications though.
