I'm talking here about The Bongos
http://www.myspace.com/thebongos
The song is Numbers with Wings which unfortunately isn't on their Myspace page. What I want to know is how did they get that serious AIR in the recording?
It sounds to me like a huge amount of brite reverb on the entire mix and serious EQ on the 12 string guitar.
Now the real question is, how do I get that air or atmosphere?
I usually limit my reverb at 3K and any higher it begins to hurt. Somehow The Bongos found a way to use tons of brite reverb in a way that I really like. I just can't make it work myself.
Am I out in the wind here? Does anybody here know of this song?
Answers are appreciated either way.
